A Twitter chat is like a meeting on Twitter; it has a specific discussion topic and a scheduled start time. Using the hashtag #MilCents at the end of each tweet, MFAN will ask questions to a group of financial experts.
E.J. is a Marine spouse, and licensed counselor specializing in work with survivors of sexual violence, trauma and other hostile exposure, as well as the LGBTQ+ community. She has experience working with clients in a variety of settings including private practice, community crisis agencies, military installations, inpatient psychiatric facilities, and the federal prison system.
E.J. is currently in private practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor in Crystal City, Virginia. She is recognized as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional by the International Association of Trauma Professionals (IATP), and Certified Victim Advocate through National Organization of Victim Advocates (NOVA). She is a member of Military Spouse Behavioral Health Clinicians (MSBHC); has served as a mentor for Hiring Our Heroes – In Gear Career AMPLIFY program; and currently is part of the Military Advisory Council for Modern Military Association of America (MMAA) providing education, advocacy and support to LGBTQ+ military service members and their families.
E.J. graduated from the University of Scranton (B.A./M.S.) and Walden University (M.S.). She was previously an MFAN Advisory Board Member from 2015-2017 and is excited to return.
