E.J. Smith is a licensed counselor, mental health advocate, and writer. She focuses primarily on crisis response and healing following sexual assault, domestic violence, and other traumatic events. She has experience working with survivors in a variety of settings, including community agencies, military installations, inpatient psychiatric facilities, and the federal prison system.

E.J. is a graduate of the University of Scranton and Walden University. She has advanced training in several therapeutic techniques specifically designed to address post-traumatic stress disorder.
