A Twitter chat is like a meeting on Twitter; it has a specific discussion topic and a scheduled start time. Using the hashtag #MilCents at the end of each tweet, MFAN will ask questions to a group of financial experts.
Tammy Moore is an Army spouse and currently serves on the National Council of the American Red Cross Tiffany Circle Society, an international organization of women leaders who advance the organization’s humanitarian mission through focused investment. Most recently, she served on the National Leadership Council as an advisor to the American Red Cross president and chief executive officer on policy, strategy, and operational matters related to serving the Armed forces. She has also served in numerous Red Cross community chapters nationwide, establishing initiatives to improve program services for military families. Her work with the American Red Cross has been featured in publications and media outlets including WashingtonExec magazine, NBC News’ “Viewpoint,” Army Wife Talk Radio, and NBC, ABC, CBS, and PBS television networks.
Tammy is interested in helping maintain clear lines of communication among service members, veterans, and their families; navigate military benefits changes on behalf of military families; and reduce uncertainties surrounding deployments. Tammy also is a two-time recipient of the Commander’s Award for Public Service.
Tammy is completing graduate studies at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
