What Is a Twitter Chat?
A Twitter chat is like a meeting on Twitter; it has a specific discussion topic and a scheduled start time. Using the hashtag #MilCents at the end of each tweet, MFAN will ask questions to a group of financial experts.
The Military Family Advisory Network (MFAN) a national nonprofit that serves military and veteran families, is seeking a full-time junior data analyst to assist with qualitative research focused on military families, service members, and veterans. This position is a remote opportunity reporting to the senior director of research and program evaluation.
About MFAN Research:
All of our efforts are grounded in research. We convene leaders and influencers in the military community to help us understand what military families need most urgently, to assist us in making families aware of the resources that are already out there, and to support us in delivering solutions when there are resource gaps.
We conduct national research to evaluate the effects of military service on family life. We are also agile – we field studies quickly when we need answers. Recent work evaluated military families’ experiences living in privatized military housing, a study that was cited repeatedly by members of the Senate Armed Services Committee. We have been invited to present our findings at the White House, the Pentagon, and on Capitol Hill.
We are looking for a candidate with previous professional experience analyzing qualitative data and presenting findings in written reports. Ideally, this is also someone who is a detail-oriented self-starter who excels at time management and doesn’t miss a deadline. This candidate should be equally comfortable working independently or with a team in a virtual environment.
