The Military Family Advisory Network (MFAN) is seeking an event planner to join our team for six-months (February through July 2020) with the opportunity to extend, should the needs of the organization warrant.
MFAN is a data-driven, impact-focused nonprofit in a phase of rapid growth. This spring and summer MFAN will host a series of high-profile events and we need an enthusiastic event planner to lead the charge. The event planner will work with the director of communications, director of operations, and the executive director to:
A successful national events manager will be able to demonstrate proficiency in the areas listed above, be able to multi-task and manage multiple priorities, have superior attention to detail, and be polished in all forms of communication. Most importantly, a successful candidate will have a passion for supporting military families, a positive attitude, and be willing to roll up their sleeves and get to work.
This is a remote and temporary full-time position (with the possibility to extend). Candidates who do not live in the National Capital Region should expect monthly travel. As with all event planning roles, occasional after-hour/weekend work should be expected. The salary range is $22,000 to $26,000 for six months.
