MFAN consists of a group of advisors who are thought leaders within the military and veteran family community. Advisors are chosen through an application process that takes place in the summer every two years. Individuals who are selected serve a two-year term that includes Google Hangouts once a month and in-person meetings three times a year. The current advisors were selected in July 2017 and will serve through July 14, 2019.
Advisors’ networks are diverse and give MFAN a unique, well-rounded understanding of the military family community. Advisors come together to discuss the challenges facing military families, explore opportunities for collaboration, and bring the concerns of military families to service providers.
The opinions expressed by each advisor in his or her professional and personal domain do not necessarily reflect the positions of the Military Family Advisory Network.
MFAN advisory board alumni continue to serve the military family community every day through their careers, personal initiatives, and extensive volunteer work. The MFAN alumni network is comprised of a diverse group of military spouses with a wide-breadth of experiences, interests, and expertise. We thank our past advisors not only for their service to MFAN and the greater military community, but also for paving the way for future MFAN advisory boards to better help our military families.
Applications for the 2015 – 2017 MFAN advisory board will open in June, 2015. Read the terms of service.
